About the Lido Foundation
Lido Foundation supports disadvantaged people from the Somali community in order to enable them to live independent and fulfilling lives.
We aim to achieve this by providing them with advice, training and support so that they have the confidence and knowledge to live fulfilling lives and socially integrate into the wider society.
We are based in the London borough of Hammersmith & Fulham where the majority of our beneficiaries are drawn.
Although our focus is on the Somali community we are open to all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion or sexual orientation.
Summary of the role
To provide information, advice and advocacy support to disadvantaged people from the Somali community in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The post-holder must possess an understanding of the wider issues of disadvantage that affect migrants and newly arrived communities in the UK. You will also have the ability to speak the Somali language fluently, to be a strong team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
